CINE VACANCIES

The Creative Industries New Entrants programme (CINE) is a new initiative which aims to broaden access to the screen and creative industries at entry level.  Funded by the Department for Communities and working in partnership with BBC Northern Ireland, the scheme will help identify new talent. In line with UK-wide screen industry initiatives we will prioritise applicants from underrepresented ethnic minority, socio-economic, and disabled communities, to expand our growing creative industries sector and create a more diverse generation of ‘New Entrants’ of all ages. These opportunities are only available if you are over 18.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

PRODUCTION TRAINEE/ASSISTANT

Two opportunities for New Entrants to join Studio 2’s team as a Production Trainee/Assistant.

What will you be doing?

As the Production Trainee/Assistant you will get the opportunity to learn about the creative, technical, and practical aspects of what we do across a range of projects we deliver. With the guidance of professionals and mentors, we will help steer you through many disciplines and help develop your skills in different areas which will enable you to discover where your skillset and interests fit best.

Person Specification:

A love of the arts in all shapes and sizes, be it through film & TV, animation, gaming, photography, art, theatre, dance, music, or graphic design. A good communicator with a thirst to learn new things combined with good practical organisational skills, is ideally what we are looking for. The ideal candidate will be authentic and should have respect for all types of people.

The role will include but is not limited to:

  • Assist during the organisation and preparation of productions.

  • Support the crew in studio and on location including preparation of kit and
    resources.

  • This role is designed to create a pathway for the successful candidates to
    advance their career into multiple areas of the creative industries.

Essential Criteria:

  • A love of the arts.

  • A team player but can also work on own initiative.

  • Be able to multi-task.

  • Good organisational and communication skills.

  • Curious and have an enthusiastic attitude to learning new things.

  • Friendly and personable.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of using computer software packages such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)

  • Experience of using either camera or sound equipment

TRAINEE PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

One opportunity for a New Entrant to join Imaginati Studios’ team as a Trainee Production Assistant.

What will you be doing?

As a Trainee Production Assistant you are responsible for helping the Head of Production run the project. This means:

  • Testing the build and reporting any issues that need to be fixed by the team.

  • Liaise with localisation companies to manage the translation of the game into different languages.

  • Liaise with the Community Manager to run surveys and collect feedback from the community.

  • Collect feedback from playtests and make recommendations to the team.

  • Creating and maintaining production documentation.

  • Collating and updating marketing materials.

  • Updating our Steam page with the latest information and materials.

  • Researching new techniques and technologies that improve production efficiency.

Essential Criteria

  • Good organisational and communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable Criteria

  • Interest or knowledge of gaming

  • Enjoy researching and learning new technologies.
